Do all the funds collected go to the children?
No more than 20 cents of each dollar goes to World Vision Singapore for administrative costs and public awareness programmes. The rest of the funds go to the field. The Singapore government allows registered charities to deduct a maximum of 30% of all contributions for administrative costs. World Vision’s International stewardship mandate is that administrative and public awareness costs should not exceed 20% of all funds received.

Are there any administrative costs when I contribute to MyVision?
There is no additional administrative cost involved in contributing to your chosen campaign.

Do I need to have an account with MyVision to donate?
Donors are not required to have an account.

Is there a minimum amount to contribute?
Every little bit counts; there is no minimum contribution amount!

Can I donate as a gift or in honour of someone?
Definitely! Simply indicate your intention in the comments column after you have donated.

Can I donate from outside of Singapore?
All donors regardless of location, race, religion or nationality are welcome to donate.

Are contributions tax-deductible?
As a foreign charity registered in Singapore, donations to World Vision Singapore do not benefit from tax exemption or deductibles. The majority of beneficiaries of World Vision Singapore are not located in Singapore. The policy set by the Singapore Government requires that only gifts or donations granted to local charities are tax-exemptible.

How can I be sure that the funds are really benefitting the community?
As part of our stewardship, we optimise the funds, resources and distribute them to where they are needed most in the communities we are helping. We carefully monitor and review our programmes and costs periodically, making sure the funds are achieving the highest possible impact in the lives of the children and families.

For financial accountability, we are audited by external and independent auditors for the Singapore office. Audited financial statements are published annually and are available on our website.
