Ms. Ha Thi Nhien got married when she was 16 and now has 2 children in kindergarten. She and her husband are taking care of their children and an elderly mother. It’s a burden for the young couple to sustain their family’s living as their income is mostly from harvesting bamboo as well as unstable jobs.

Ms. Nhien says, “I became a mom when I was too young, without much knowledge of husbandry and cultivation. The financial burden is rising, and so are the needs for nutrition and education for my children. I need to earn more to raise my children.”

She plans to buy a cow and some pigs with a loan, as well as participate in training courses on animal husbandry and cultivation to improve her agricultural skills. Ms. Nhien believe this farm would be a key for her family to improve their living condition and for her to take better care of her children.
