Indonesia Earthquake Response

A powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Flores, Indonesia on 15 August 2026, claiming over 50 lives, damaging homes and forcing thousands of people to evacuate. Continued aftershocks and disruptions to electricity, telecommunications and road access are adding to the uncertainty faced by affected families. 

World Vision is responding to reach 25,000 people impacted by the earthquake, including 12,000 children. Our response will provide families with urgent support, including: emergency shelter, clean water, hygiene kits and child protection in child-friendly spaces.
